About the Event

Help us collect insect biodiversity data in the farm systems at Elk Run and Metacarbon Farms. We will begin with a short, 15-minute orientation to the procedure we are using. We will provide all the materials you need to collect data, but you are encouraged to bring a phone to take photographs of certain insects to support identification (not required) - these will be uploaded to our INaturalist project. A general familiarity with insect patterns is helpful (ie; you can tell apart a wasp and a bee), but no deep knowledge is necessary.

Come prepared to spend a full 3 hours in the elements, with water, sturdy shoes, and sun protection. We will begin at Elk Run Farm and move to Metacarbon Farm later in the morning.
